Details

This jump is located on the east side of Catalina Island, CA. To reach it, take a boat north from Avalon, following the coast for approximately six miles until you reach Long Point.

From there, continue along the coast heading northwest for approximately seven miles until you reach Blue Cavern Point, a sheer cliff wall dropping straight into the ocean with several caves carved out of it.

The jump is on the last peninsula before you reach Isthmus Cove/Cherry Cove/Two Harbors. If you reach Two Harbors you have gone too far.

You will see a small ridge ascend from the water up to the right side of the ciff. Climb out of the water and follow the ridge up and to your left to stand on top of the cliff. The take-off is a flat area above the cliff, marked by disturbed vegetation from past jumpers.

You will need to get a running start to clear the rocks below.

The water should be plenty deep, but definitely consider the tides and scope it out yourself before you jump.

This area also has great diving and snorkeling. Enjoy.
