Beaver Lake, just north of the dam. Access from Gateway, AR on highway 62 will lead to Indian Creek and is reached by watching for the signs and is approximately 5 miles South off Highway 62. Take Indian Creek road until you get to a fork in the road where a sign shows "Dam Site". Follow that split for about 2 or 3 miles to a campground site just before going across to the actual dam. (North side of the dam) Park and hike along the ridge of the bluffs (be carefull! It's right along the top of the cliffs) and there is really only one safe spot to jump – it's at the second of two signs that say "DANGER – NO JUMPING OR DIVING" – keep walking and you'll find the walk path down to just under the cliff where you can put your stuff. Then hike back up and jump away (if the Park Rangers aren't around …) The height of the jump varies with the lake level. Usually 35 – 55 ft. From Eureka Springs, the DAM SITE can be reached by traveling North West on highway 62 until you reach highway 187 West and travel 6-8 miles to the DAM. Most of the time there are people around who'll help guide you to the spot. Enjoy!
