No real name for this sucker, we just call it The Hole. From Broadway in Boulder turn west up Canyon Road. It's a straight shot from there. After about 8 miles you will see a sign for Boulder Falls. 1000ft more you will come to a parking area on the left side of the road. Dock your vehicle and take the path along the left side of the road another 50 yards up Canyon. The path leads right to The Hole, which is a pool in the Boulder Creek about 20ft or so in diameter. The cliff is across the creek, so, you're gonna have to swim across to it (pain in the BUTT, right?). Then it's an edgy little scramble up the rocks; there's a nice crack to follow, but come prepared to climb. If you bail it's just back in Boulder Creek . . . so try, try again. The water depth is somewhere between 10 and 12 feet, but if you know what you're doing it's impossible to hit bottom. Rock it.
