From Portland. Take I-84 East to Cascade Lockes and go over the bridge of the gods(toll bridge we paid a $1). Once over the bridge, go right and stay on the road till you see the signs for Skamania Lodge. You will take a left onto Rock Creek Drive and the Lodge will be on your left. Go past the Lodge and In 3/4-mile, turn left onto Ryan Allen Road. Very shortly thereafter, turn right onto Iman Cemetery Road (possibly mislabeled as “1 Man”) and follow for another 3/4-mile, then turn right onto First Falls View Road and follow to its end. Park where there is room, but not as to intrude on adjacent homeowners land. At the end of the road, a trail passes a metal road barrier and descends steeply into the woods. Follow the sounds of the creek and you’ll eventually come out along the rim of the barren canyon next to the falls about 300 feet from the roads end.
