From Marquette: It’s off Wright Street, which swings around from the University to US 41 before the shopping mall and Walmart. Follow the road past the power lines and a ATV path then there is a parking
lot or if you want to hike like we did follow the road all the way to the end, where there’s a small electric generating station and an artist’s house. To get to the falls, you take the path that goes up a hill, and then down an embankment to a stream. If you follow the stream upwards, you’ll cross a small tributary, and then head steeply uphill, eventually coming to several large pools.
On the left there are some cliffs that range from 15-18 feet, and on the right there is a 48 footer which you have to clear the rocks at the bottom to jump. It was very deep and i never touched the bottom and the people who jumped the 48 footer didn’t either. This place is very cool, and its a good place to go to out in the wood. We expected the bugs to be extremely bad, but they were nothing to worry about. This place is awesome so if you are ever in Marquette Michigan, check this place out.
