Achill Island is on the west coast of Ireland..about 150miles from Dublin, 70 miles from Galway, or 20 miles from Westport, depending where you are coming from. The particular jumping spot is quite hard to find, but with so many cliffs around the island you’ll surely find your own spot anyway! A few pointers about the area though…. *The tide is very unpredictable, as in most places, and you really must not attempt to jump unless you know the water depth. *The swell is also something to look out for…you must not attempt to jump unless you are a strong swimmer. Even strong swimmers sometimes find the waves challenging. I would be careful not to damage the land (by driving up to the cliffs), because much of Achill is natural bog and we dont wanna get the locals pissed off!
