Directions to Rainbow falls….. Kerikeri is in the Bay of islands in Northland, NZ. From Aukland follow the SH1 north. Once your in Kerikeri, there’s a couple of ways to get to the falls, if your driving then follow the main road right through the town, it winds its way down to the river then up the other side, when you get to a roundabout, turn left, follow the Waipapa road for about 2 miles, the falls are sign posted on the left, there’s a car park, and its pretty obvious were the falls are, just follow the roar! I your walking, and its a real nice walk, you can start at the YHA hostel which is on the main road on the left, after all the shops. The lane runs down the left side of the hostel. You need to cross the river at the mini falls, then turn left and follow the path along the river. Enjoy!
