Texada Island | Gillies Bay, BC

You can get to this beautiful Jump site by taking a short 30 minute ferry from Powell River, BC. to Texada island. You follow the main (and only) road right off the ferry for about a 5 minute drive, or it’s a 40 minute walk. It’s uphill all the way off the ferry except for one very large downhill stretch. At the bottom of this stretch is the turn off to the abandoned quarries. There is a sign on the right hand side saying something like “danger, jump at own risk, no liabilities from the mining company, etc.” This is the start of a 30 second trail that leads you right to the best cliffs around. Beautiful Limestone green water which is almost always warm and any size cliff you can imagine. Water is major deep. So enjoy!”
