Shot at the oldest and first Marble Quarry in the United States of America known as “Dorset Quarry” in Southern Vermont here is a video of what summer is all about in VT! This is the final Cliff Jumping segment from the GoProBros for the summer of 2011. It has been probably one of the most eventful summers of our lives and this video tops everything off. You can see the progression of my editing skills getting better and better from the first edit to the last. This is in my opinion my best work yet and in terms of craziness this is about as crazy as it gets, this video definitely is a candidate for GoPRO video of the day! The swimming spot is Dorset Marble Quarry which coincidentally is the first Marble Quarry in the United States founded in the 1700’s. It’s said that the Quarry is 100-200 feet deep but know one knows exactly because of the quarries different depths and areas. The story is told that apparently the workers struck a well spring and overnight the Quarry filled up with water and buried all the equipment and work machinery in the depths. This is somewhat of an important edit for us because we only made two trips to the Quarry this summer due to the fact that its two hours South from us. On the 2nd trip halfway through the day I jumped into the quarry with a tripod I shouldn’t have used and my GoPRO popped off and sunk to the bottom of the Quarry for over 15 minutes recording a video.
