About 8km SE from Fort William (NW Scotland) and literally a kilometre from the location of one of the Braveheart Film sets. This spot is pretty obvious as it is at the only point where the main road crosses the River Nevis.The name of the spot is Polldubh (“the black pool” in Gaelic) after the deep pool into which the nearby waterfall (and any jumpers) tumble. There is the option of jumping from either the bridge itself or from one the sides of pool.
